As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, our employees are on the front lines providing essential services to clients throughout the community. We are proud to support the needs of those we serve, especially through times of crisis. The past year has presented considerable new challenges— and we are beyond proud of the way our residents, our families, and our teams have rallied together to carry one another through the toughest times.
While safety calls for isolation, we find ourselves more connected than ever before. As a community, we have always cared for one another. But as we weather this storm together, we find that our bonds have deepened. We’ve found new ways to deliver services remotely to support the mental health needs of our community. We extended our Meals on Wheels services to ensure older adults have the nourishment they need to remain safely at home. Though our Berkeley Square, Westover and Jamestowne families haven’t been able to visit, our staff have stepped up to help fill the gaps – sharing stories, shopping for groceries, and providing around the clock care to ensure that the health and safety needs of our residents are met.
Our staff are on the front lines providing essential services to our community. I can’t tell you how incredibly proud I am of the work they are doing every day – upholding the highest clinical and infection prevention standards while going well beyond their job descriptions. They see that the details are handled, and that every client has whatever they need to get through another day.
Please thoughtfully consider supporting our teams as we continue to meet the diverse needs of our community.
Your gift can be directed to a program that your are passionate about, or it can be directed to where it is needed most so that we can create a legacy of impact together. With your support, we will be able to ensure our teams know just how much their dedication is appreciated as we continue to care for our community and move through these tough times together.
Sincerely,
Brett Kirkpatrick
